We started as a purely gemstone business in 1992 and have always cut a good proportion of the stones we use in our jewellery. We mostly use factories in Asia which we have had long connections with. The versatility created by producing (and buying) from direct sources in large volumes gives us access to a great variety of stones for setting in a huge array of shapes and sizes.

Of course we don’t cut the nice pieces of rough; because we personally go through every rock we buy, nothing goes to the cutters that nature would have otherwise.

We are conscientious buyers of our raw materials, carefully and selectively sourcing all our materials from people whose ethics and business practices are sound. Because we enjoy our work and research it thoroughly, we have developed a knowledge of stones that we like to share with our customers. We think that if a stone has sat for 100 million years in a beautiful mountain range in (for example) Africa and it ends up on your finger, then you should know its story.
